PFT April 3, 2016. I Am The True Vine. John 15:3-8
As the disciples, minus Judas Iscariot, walked by the Lord of glory, He made this profound, history-rebutting statement: national Israel is not the true vine. It is true God had deposited His law, covenants, promises, revelation and history in the nation but salvation was not in connection with the nation. Rather, Israel was a type and she has fulfilled her role. All types and symbols are fulfilled and set aside. He declared in no uncertain terms: “I am the true vine”.
