PFT March 13, 2016. The Allegory of the Vine. John 15:1-8
The allegory of the Vine and the discourse which follows begins at 15:1 and goes through 16:16. This is the final sermon of the Lord for His disciples. Throughout we see the supremacy and sovereignty of the Lord Jesus. If He is sovereign at all, He is surely sovereign in the salvation of sinners. We hear Him declaring His obedience unto death by which righteousness was earned and established before God.
